I'll mostly be knitting and crocheting this year so I can take advantage of those sleepy nursing sessions to multitask. I've got a lot of recipients on my list, so I've got to start early and focus on small projects, mostly hats and mittens and the like. I made the fetching gloves from knitty last year, and they turned out great. Really pretty quick work, too. Good luck on your projects! Love the blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm making most of my Christmas gifts this year, too. I'm sewing mostly bags, aprons and hot water bottle cozies, but I'm also taking a stab at a hat and booties from "Natural Knits for Babies and Mums." We'll see how that goes - it's been years since I've knitted anything!

ReplyDeletei already finished making my christmas presents except for an order placed by my younger sister for a cardigan that i designed, she wants exactly the same one as mine in exactly the same color.
what i already made: many "empire hats" and many "1840 nightcaps" but with wool and a different gauge of course.
my notes are on my ravelry project called "royal hat". i knit with all of those matching scarves.
i made us for the home tree bird ornaments off purl bee and also their pine tree sachets but to use as decoration, i may introduce some "clover"(?) between the stitches though.
what's your ravelry ID?
(very good choice of items, i already downloaded some from your list which i am not good at making).
would you happen to have in mind a simple, no-stitch classical pattern for a 25 gram skein of 105 yards worth of red angora? it's farm made.
